• applicant must be an African Nova Scotian (Black) student
• applicant must be enrolled as full time student in a recognized university degree (undergraduate) program
• applicant must have demonstrated leadership qualities through participation in community affairs, student activities or athletics

Additional Information:

• this award is also available to second and third year university students who have successfully completed their first and/or second year and continue as a full-time student in their second and/or third year
• awards for second year students are based on satisfactory academic standing
